Hello, Thank you for jumping in and taking a look at this. It appears to be fixed, thank you for your assistance. Seems that there are certain syntax requirements to make this section operate correctly, but nonetheless I'm happy to have learned about these rules. Hope you all have a great day! -Ryan

So, by your explanation i understood that the correct syntax is: Select FieldName From TableName Where FieldName=[VALUE] I tested it and it's working. The SQL should actually return nothing. In the other syntax with Count(*) it returns 0, which is a result and the constraint always activates.

I spoke with our developers this morning and we are excepting username and login via a query string. I should be getting the details from them later this morning. We would need to add the ability to accept a password from your module. Alternately we could just use an HTML module and create the iframe via raw html code. Would that be easier?

Hello, the url does indeed end with an "&" thanks for the other information - we will follow your advice to deploy the modules. this gives me some direction to guide my research of your documentation. There is quite a lot to wade through, this is a very expansive set of modules! Please advise me as to what else to attempt in regards to the ticket emails. thanks again for the excellent support!

Chris, Thank you for researching this issue. I found the answer. As the primary key is a string value, and not an integer, it must be enclosed in single quotes as shown below; SELECT CourseNumber, CourseTitle,CourseDescription FROM VWCCourses WHERE VWCCourses.CourseNumber='[PrimaryKey]' This worked just fine. I suggest that you update the instructions for use of the sub-query to ensure to add single quotes, as above, when the primary key is a string value. Great module for accessing data from DNN tables! Regards, Hans

If you have the new module ready (even Beta) I'll take it. It's on my Intranet so it's not what we call "Production Critical" so if there is a problem I can alway take the server down and remove the dll. If not I'll wait as I have other Form tools I could use. Did I tell you how great your customer service is!!! Keep up the good work. Thanks, Chris

That sounds like a good idea. I could leave all the data on there but most of it changes with each penalty. The things that don't change are usually radio buttons so it doesn't really save much time. I don't see my download option anymore. I"m assuming my subscription just ran out as I was able to download a week or so ago. Can you verify this and let me know what the renewal fee will be? I just bought the server license. I have some questions for you: 1. i created a report met rtf sql, but every time i want to watch the report the file extension is unknown. Is that normal? 2. if you create a rtf sql, can you work with querystring parameters. If yes, can you give me an example of the rtf sql and the query string 3. is it possible to adjust the width of the item script textbox control. It's to small to work comfortable. (see printscreen) thanks for helpin

Chris, you can close this ticket. I put a sample and the information you requested together. The sample only had 4 records in it so I decided I try to load just those four. It worked fine. So I took out a few more and they worked as well. So, it appears one of my records in the larger file is bad, not your problem.

Very cool. Works as advertised! I have been trying to find a reliable way to send bulk mail for many years and I am liking this module. At first I thought it was too complicated, then I started using Constant Contact and it is no picnic either. No matter how you look at it, sending bulk mail is a very involved task and Axon seems up to the challenge.

Thank you for your reply. I don't know SQL, but the other guy that I work with he does better than I, I'm still learning how to do these types of webforms and queries. How do you go about setting that in the module for us to use? Please let me know so I can pass along that information and plan to make that happen. Am I able to use the form I have created and upload to the OnyakTech forms to make it more appealing? Thanks, Heather

You lead me in the right direction.. It was not the password field, it was because I was logged in as host and it populated the name and login fields with host info. It however does NOT show a red * anywhere for a required field if left blank and this led to my confusion. If you do not include a password it just prints a line that states "Password is Required" under the password field when you hit update. This is within the default "DarkKnight" Skin in DNN 6. Is there a way for you to over-ride the CSS and make the errors more prominent? Other than that suggestion, I am good to go on this issue, please feel free to close this ticket!

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that the problem has nothing to do with your software. Although our test site seems to be functioning just fine there is something going on with it because I have installed the module on our production site and it is functioning correctly, at least I do not see the same problem. We do not use our test site that often but there must've been something that has gone on and we will have to backtrack to see if it is a problem with some other aspect that we were testing. The bad news – I'm sorry that I have used up your time in this manner. We have ever had any other problems like this before with our test site as it is a mirror image of our production site, but not always 100%.

Hi Chris, that is a good choice. These people are campaign managers, NOT administrators. Also, it could be on the module's Edit action (where we configure the other module options such as "Lock Down Axon"). Thank you! - Ari

Hey Chris, I see what you're saying. The issue would be when the client creates a new campaign. The created dynamic insert is not available for new campaigns. Ideally, it would be to allow campaign managers to choose templates created for them. I see that you have hard coded the templates that demonstrates the dynamic inserts. I wish I could add custom templates to the database to be picked from. Thanks! - Ari

Your post lead me to the correction I needed: adding <bindingRedirect oldVersion="2008.0.0.0-2020.0.0.0" newVersion="2010.2.929.35" /> to <dependentAssembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <assemblyIdentity name="Telerik.Web.UI" publicKeyToken="121fae78165ba3d4" /> </dependentAssembly> This gets the old references updated to the current revision. I believe that is supposed to be automatic, but apparently that step didn't happen going to 5.6.1 Thank you for you assistance.

Hi Chris. Downloaded and tested your latest build. It got rid of an error that kept popping up after sending emails thanks for that. Also only after the 2nd email that I sent did I realise I had to save the campaign before sending it then the content will come through. all the emails i've been sending until now i've not saved and that's why the content was empty..... Again thanks for your help over the weekend it is appreciated. It was the only outstanding part of the site and now I can sign it off. I just need to import all our current mailing list addresses and then we'll start using it to it's fullest ability. quick question what do I need to do to get surveys out to some people and is it easy to import our existing mailing list subscribers ? Chris, Thanks. Your Axon module will be replacing a third party email campaign system from Campaigner.com. We're also very interested in replacing our Bold Chat solution with your solution as well as leveraging some of your other modules for a lightweight CRM. Our company manages online and offline business development (pre sale and post sales) for hundreds of RV, Marine and Powersports dealerships. We've been slowly replacing our own internally developed solutions with modules on DNN (we use DNN to power dealer websites). Anyway - more later once we've had a chance to work with your modules. Thanks again and I look forward to learning about your modules and leveraging them in our business. Steven

Thanks for the comments mate. Incidentally, I think you should consider putting up your annual subscription price a little. I'm paying $149 / yr and to be frank, am finding the value I get from your customer service alone is worth way more than that. You could increase it by 50% and I'd still be happy to pay. Compare what you provide with other DNN modules out there on the market (ok, most are one-off sales) and you'll see that you are under-charging. We manufacture printing software solution - our maintenance contract for the enterprise subscription (upgrades, priority phone support, etc) runs at $350 a year. Online only support (via SigmaPro) is offered free for 1 year, or 3 years on purchase of product, depending upon which product they buy. Anyway, you get my point. You may be able to put your annual subscription price up a notch and I doubt people will complain. Cheers, JS

Posted On 1/16/2009 11:17:36 AM by Will Strohl
Okay. Installing the 5.1.21 library fixed everything, but that means according to the Read Me in the library downloads area, there is still a missing DLL in the R2 release. "As new options are added to the OnyakTech Library, they will be published as new releases of the 5.1.21 Library. For example, the OnyakTech Library 5.1.21 R2 release contains a new option to disable password look-ups in Axon. If you have already installed the OnyakTech Library 5.1.21 then you just need to install the OnyakTech 5.1.21 R2. If you have not installed the OnyakTech Library then you just need to install 5.1.21, you don't need to install both the 5.1.21 and 5.1.21 R2. Both installs contain the same changes, the only difference is that the release (5.1.21 R2) is a smaller file size since it doesn't contain any controls." This is just misleading, as it reads at one point to only install v5.1.21, but then says if you want the other feature, install R2. However, do not install both. So I just installed R2 initially.

OK I started a new campaign with my own SQL. The Email content seems OK although I have noticed that I don not need to put the [ ] around my token in the email body e.g. I have created an Insert called [ISTRBO] and in the Body I juest need to put ISTRBO (was it always like that?). I haved added the SQL for my recipients and that is working OK as well. I guess I got side tracked by the Users red herring. Thanks for the quick support.

Good news. Here is the response from webhost4life to the error. Thomas (Staff) 1/3/2009 8:49:46 PM Dear customer, I checked that the application pool recycles frequently. I slightly increase the application pool memory limit and disable the virtual memory limit. Please let us know if the problem persists. Thanks. ------------- Thank you for using our Hosting Service. If you like our service, submit your Testimonial here! James McManus 1/3/2009 10:20:54 PM Looks liked that worked. Thanks, I'll be testing more intensely over the next few days/weeks. There will never be very many concurrent connections to the chat module so the load should actually be fairly low. I appreciate your efforts and apologize for letting my frustrations out in such an unprofessional manner.

I understand about the hard-coded aspect. I'm not 100% following you on the next step. If you're saying that if I wait a little bit for the public release, then upgrade to the 5.1.21 library and install the latest module, that's fine. Is there any reason why I wouldn't/shouldn't upgrade to the 5.1.21 library? (I'm on DNN 4.9.1, if that matters.) Sorry to be so dense this morning. Steve

I have just finished a conversation with my hosting provider (webhost4life). They provide me with a VPS to which I have desktop remote access. We are trying to determine why this error is occurring. I will keep you posted. If you have any ideas, please feel free to jump in. I absolutely love what I have seen in your products (and support) and would love to get these issues resolved. Please feel free to contact me at 919-601-4618. I am open to providing you guys with access to the DNN site as well as remote desktop in an effort to make this work. Sincerely, Jim McManus

Chris: I found out that the problem was caused by trying to use the same email address specified in Sigma Pro as the Host email address. Once I changed that, ticket info started to email out right away. I'm not sure if you can detect this within your module but you may want to put this in your knowledge base. Thanks, James

Yes, via Host, Module Definitions, Install New Module - browsing to the zip file and then getting the error. I logged a call with the hosting provider complaining about performance. I tried again and it worked this time. Thanks for your fast response. Regards John

Thanks, There was something wrong with the compatibility mode connection string, I did look there several times, however I must of missed it, especially since the rest of my site was working fine. After reloading all modules and still no good, I looked again and found the problem. Thanks,

Hi Chris, This is just what I did to start with (installation of all modules that is). I am aware of the fact that I have to install the Library module first, I did this earlier... (Just NOT installed the latest Helpdesk version.... that was my fault I guess) Anyway, I re-installed the library again today, so I have version 04.00.00 om my site now, the Helpdesk is version 07.00.18 and Sigma Pro is version 07.00.73. I did H2O also, because that failed too. But I have another Library still in place: Version Q3 03.00.17. Do they co-exist? Whatever, I deleted this old module. Then I re-installed the Draconis and helpdesk modules, and after that the H2O modules. However, the "Evaluation" message on Helpdesk was still there. EUREKA! Restarting the DNN application did the trick! All is working fine now, Sigma Everest as well. Thanks, Jos

Thanks to all for your help and understanding. My confidence in you was severely shaken (web site went down, error message in installation of trial after I HAD PURCHASED THE WRONG VERSION, MY BAD) and then not your fault (snowcovered and bank too a while to issue credit). Anyway nice recovery and I will do business with you again.!

Thanks for the help! I went in and replaces the regex with one from Ben Forta's blog, https?://([-\w\.]+)+(:\d+)?(/([\w/_\.]*(\?\S+)?)?)? and it seems to be working OK. I don't think this will detect URLs with userid and password, but we don't see a lot of those. It will allow query strings, intranet hosts, and alternate ports, so I'm good now. ref: https://www.forta.com/blog/index.cfm?mode=entry&entry=A61B9FF5-3048-80A9-EF09C0A7F1E9FBD3 I have his book on regex, trying to learn it myself.

Found a solution: Installation puts a N/A in the "Completed eMail" field... replacing this with a valid eMail and it works. I did this before on my "Helpdesk Team" Module... but i have a second module for my Customers, after this... My customer like the default user interface now. Now i have to make a little Product Registration Form and Table with H2O... exactly i start with H2O. Emmo

Hi Chris, Thanks for your reply. I have used the automatic installer from my ISP for installing DNN. I have manually checked the settings in both the connectionstrings and there actually is a difference between them. In the second connection string there were 2 equal signs between and removing one of them was the solution for this issue. Problem solved!!! Thank you very much, Marc Huijbregts

Okay, that didn't work, but it got me thinking... and it turns out that there is a conflict with Snapsis PageBlaster. I had to exclude that type of file from being handled by PageBlaster and that seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help.
