Whoops,. I thought I'd posted back on this yesterday late morning.  I found the threads on the main DotNetNuke forum regarding the mess with the SMTP in the 5.x versions of DNN.  I just disabled sending e-mails in SigmaPro, and all problems went away.  I'll figure out another work-around soon.  Thanks for the pointers, I consider this ticket closed.

Chris, Thanks.  Your Axon module will be replacing a third party email campaign system from Campaigner.com.  We're also very interested in replacing our Bold Chat solution with your solution as well as leveraging some of your other modules for a lightweight CRM.  Our company manages online and offline business development (pre sale and post sales) for hundreds of RV, Marine and Powersports dealerships.  We've been slowly replacing our own internally developed solutions with modules on DNN (we use DNN to power dealer websites).  Anyway - more later once we've had a chance to work with your modules.  Thanks again and I look forward to learning about your modules and leveraging them in our business.  Steven

Thanks for the comments mate. Incidentally, I think you should consider putting up your annual subscription price a little. I'm paying $149 / yr and to be frank, am finding the value I get from your customer service alone is worth way more than that. You could increase it by 50% and I'd still be happy to pay. Compare what you provide with other DNN modules out there on the market (ok, most are one-off sales) and you'll see that you are under-charging. We manufacture printing software solution - our maintenance contract for the enterprise subscription (upgrades, priority phone support, etc) runs at $350 a year. Online only support (via SigmaPro) is offered free for 1 year, or 3 years on purchase of product, depending upon which product they buy. Anyway, you get my point. You may be able to put your annual subscription price up a notch and I doubt people will complain. Cheers, JS

Okay. Installing the 5.1.21 library fixed everything, but that means according to the Read Me in the library downloads area, there is still a missing DLL in the R2 release. "As new options are added to the OnyakTech Library, they will be published as new releases of the 5.1.21 Library.  For example, the OnyakTech Library 5.1.21 R2 release contains a new option to disable password look-ups in Axon.  If you have already installed the OnyakTech Library 5.1.21 then you just need to install the OnyakTech 5.1.21 R2. If you have not installed the OnyakTech Library then you just need to install 5.1.21, you don't need to install both the 5.1.21 and 5.1.21 R2.  Both installs contain the same changes, the only difference is that the release (5.1.21 R2) is a smaller file size since it doesn't contain any controls." This is just misleading, as it reads at one point to only install v5.1.21, but then says if you want the other feature, install R2.   However, do not install both.  So I just installed R2 initially.

OK I started a new campaign with my own SQL.  The Email content seems OK although I have noticed that I don not need to put the [ ] around my token in the email body e.g. I have created an Insert called [ISTRBO] and in the Body I juest need to put ISTRBO (was it always like that?). I haved added the SQL for my recipients and that is working OK as well. I guess I got side tracked by the Users red herring. Thanks for the quick support.

Good news.  Here is the response from webhost4life to the error. Thomas (Staff)   1/3/2009 8:49:46 PM Dear customer, I checked that the application pool recycles frequently. I slightly increase the application pool memory limit and disable the virtual memory limit. Please let us know if the problem persists. Thanks. ------------- Thank you for using our Hosting Service. I understand about the hard-coded aspect. I'm not 100% following you on the next step. If you're saying that if I wait a little bit for the public release, then upgrade to the 5.1.21 library and install the latest module, that's fine. Is there any reason why I wouldn't/shouldn't upgrade to the 5.1.21 library?  (I'm on DNN 4.9.1, if that matters.) Sorry to be so dense this morning. Steve

Chris: I found out that the problem was caused by trying to use the same email address specified in Sigma Pro as the Host email address.  Once I changed that, ticket info started to email out right away.  I'm not sure if you can detect this within your module  but you may want to put this in your knowledge base. Thanks, James

Hi Chris, This is just what I did to start with (installation of all modules that is). I am aware of the fact that I have to install the Library module first, I did this earlier... (Just NOT installed the latest Helpdesk version.... that was my fault I guess) Anyway, I re-installed the library again today, so I have version 04.00.00 om my site now, the Helpdesk is version 07.00.18 and Sigma Pro is version 07.00.73. I did H2O also, because that failed too. But I have another Library still in place:  Version Q3 03.00.17. Do they co-exist? Whatever, I deleted this old module. Then I re-installed the Draconis and helpdesk modules, and after that the H2O modules. However, the "Evaluation" message on Helpdesk  was still there. EUREKA! Restarting the DNN application did the trick! All is working fine now, Sigma Everest as well. Thanks, Jos

Thanks for the help! I went in and replaces the regex with one from Ben Forta's blog, https?://([-\w\.]+)+(:\d+)?(/([\w/_\.]*(\?\S+)?)?)? and it seems to be working OK. I don't think this will detect URLs with userid and password, but we don't see a lot of those. It will allow query strings, intranet hosts, and alternate ports, so I'm good now. ref: https://www.forta.com/blog/index.cfm?mode=entry&entry=A61B9FF5-3048-80A9-EF09C0A7F1E9FBD3 I have his book on regex, trying to learn it myself.

Hi Chris, Thanks for your reply. I have used the automatic installer from my ISP for installing DNN. I have manually checked the settings in both the connectionstrings and there actually is a difference between them. In the second connection string there were 2 equal signs between and removing one of them was the solution for this issue. Problem solved!!! Thank you very much, Marc Huijbregts

Hi Chris, seems that the UMG module was creating a AJAX error. All seems ok now! Thanks for the support. Andy

Hello Chris,It was my mistake. I have all the installation files on a shared drive. For some strange reason the unzip takes place a lot slower compared to a local dirve. When I placed the installation file in a temp folder on my local drive, it was installed in a minute. Thanks for your support anyway. Regards,Paco Ortiz

Thanks for your quick response. That's a good hint that I'll remember.I rebuilt the table (I'm using Enterprise Architect) and it works now.  There may have been a text field in there. Thanks,  Max

I hid the related option as you suggested.  That will work for now.  Log term it would be better to limit the choices to tickets the user has access to.  Or perhaps only Team members (support personel) can access this function.

Ahh... there's the problem... I had it set to just display the form. That solves that. Once I can get it to display the form to the public I'm all set. Thanks!
